Dr. Wondaferahu Mulugeta Demissie is a senior economist at Ethiopian Civil Service University, Coordinator for PhD in Development Economics. Since 2018, he is also serving as visiting-associate professor of Development economics at Jimma, Bahirdar, Gondar, Arba-Minch, Wollega, Debre-Berihan, and Bule-Hora Universities, Ethiopia. In addition to his teaching responsibility, he has been engaged in different research and community service activities.  His researches focus on economic growth and development, macroeconomic policy analysis, financial economics, agricultural economics, social capital, inequality and poverty analysis, and institutional quality and development. Dr. Wondaferahu has published extensively more than 54 articles in leading journals within the aforementioned fields and also ample experience in reviewing manuscripts of reputable international (Humanities and Social Sciences Communications; Sustainable Futures; Review of Development Economics; Journal of the Knowledge Economy; Journal of Infrastructure, Policy and Development; Frontiers in Sociology; Future Business Journal; and Asian Journal of Scientific Research) and national journals (Ethiopian Journal of Economics, Horn Africa Journal of Business and Economics, and Advanced Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies). In addition, he has attended various short term training programs, research conferences, and seminars in Ethiopia, India, England, Israel, Germany, the Netherlands, and France. Currently he serves as Editor-in-chief of Journal of Finance, Management, and Development (JFMD).
