Overview of the journal

Journal of Finance, Management and Development (JFMD) is one of the open access journals of Ethiopian Civil Service University dedicated to disseminating quality research the fields of Finance, Management and Development. It is a double-blind, peer-reviewed scientific open access journal that publishes original manuscripts, review articles and other scholarly works.

Aim and Scope

The aims of JFMD are to publish original manuscripts or research outputs dealing with national and international financial, managerial, economic, and development issues; disseminate information relating to current research results, novel theories, developments, and innovative ideas that contribute significantly to the body of scientific knowledge and derive the future financial, business, and development sectors; and provide a credible and accessible platform to academicians, researchers, students, and practitioners from different background engaged in theoretical and empirical research. Hence, this new journal will always accept original manuscripts, primarily basic and applied research articles, review articles, book reviews, systematic reviews, case studies, and meta-analysis that explore emerging challenges and opportunities within the scope of the journal.

The scope of the journal cover diverse topics in the field of Finance, Management, Economics, and Development, which include but are not limited to Accounting and Finance, Tax Policy and Administration, Customs Administrations, International Trade and Finance, Procurement and Asset Management, Business Management, Public Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Governance and corruption, Agricultural economics, Financial economics, Labour economics, Natural resource economics, Public finance (Taxation, expenditure, and Debt issues), Political economy, Infrastructural development, Growth and Development, Development theories and studies, Social Security, Social capital, and Social work and protection.

JFMD encourages multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary researches, communications, and interaction among researchers in the vast area of international and transnational finance, management, economics, and development. Authors are expected to meet the scientific and ethical standards prevailing in their respective fields, and empirical findings must be reproducible. Researchers from all over the world are welcomed to publish their research work in different aspects of the aforementioned and related fields.

Frequency of Publication

JFMD publish two issues annually. The journal will be published twice in the months of February and August. There could be possibility of special issue of JFMD as deemed necessary.
